LiveVault, an InterCloud Systems company, traces its origins back to 1996 as Data Protection Services, when online backup was an emerging technology in the field of data protection and storage. Since its inception, the company has endeavored to service its clients using the latest technological advancements in the rapidly changing online backup industry while maintaining close customer relationships.

Focused solely on offsite data backup and storage for business clients, LiveVault has designed an easily managed, affordable solution that is scalable. Our clients range from one-person offices to corporations with hundreds of locations. Service, support and administration structures were developed to meet the distinctive requirements of business clients.

The handling of data has evolved significantly in the past few years in response to security threats and legislative acts addressing privacy and financial reporting issues. The LiveVault service enables businesses which are subject to these regulations to easily comply with the data backup and storage requirements of HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC, NASD, and Graham-Leach-Bliley.

LiveVault is a General Services Administration (GSA) contract holder and provides online backup services to government clients. These clients include federal, state and local governments and other government entities.

LiveVault currently is headquartered in Danvers, MA, and has data vaults in four locations in the US and Canada. The Utility Class data centers are access-restricted with 24-hour security guards, strategic monitoring equipment, and electronic security systems. All data facilities are controlled environments with redundant air conditioning and power systems, emergency diesel generators, state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression systems, and multiple high-speed Internet connections.
